Most Consecutive Winning Seasons - Current (FBS)
/Updated: 12/11/24
Three teams have fallen off the list this year: Wisconsin (first losing season since 2001), Oklahoma State (first losing season since 2005) and Utah (first losing season since 2013).
Updated: 12/7/23
Nobody fell off this list - but Boise State had to win their last three scheduled games to keep their streak alive, while the Badgers won their last two games to ensure their winning season, as they go into their bowl with a 7-5 record. Added to the list in 2023 were Utah, Memphis, and James Madison - as they have all had ten-straight winning seasons (though 9 of the Dukes winning seasons were in the FCS - but winning on any level for that long is not easy).
1. Boise State: 27 Seasons (starting 1998)
2. Alabama: 17 seasons (starting 2008)
3. Clemson: 14 seasons (starting 2011)
3. Georgia: 14 seasons (starting 2011)
5. Ohio State: 13 seasons (starting 2012)
6. Iowa: 12 seasons (starting 2013)
7. Memphis: 11 seasons (starting 2014)
7. James Madison: 11 seasons (starting 2014)
9. Notre Dame: 8 seasons (starting 2017)
9. Oregon: 8 seasons (starting 2017)
Next Up: SMU and Liberty (6 straight winning seasons)
Bonus Fact: Alabama will have to beat Michigan to keep their streak of 10+ wins going at 17 seasons! Meanwhile, Ohio State’s only only non-10 win season in 13 seasons was the shortened 2020 season and Clemson’s first twelve years in this streak were 10+ win seasons - but they won only nine games in 2023
