2024 Week 1 Schedule: New England College Football Games (All Divisions)

8/29:

UNH at UCF: The Knights are paying the Wildcats $350k for playing the game. First-ever meeting

Bryant at Delaware: Both teams are currently members of the CAA, but this will be a non-conference game. First-ever meeting.

Central Connecticut State at Central Michigan: The Blue Devils played at Kent State last year, losing 38-10 to the Golden Flashes. First-ever meeting.

8/30:

Colgate at Maine: Colgate snapped a two-game losing streak to Maine with a 21-18 win two years ago. Raiders lead the all-time series 3-2 (series started in 1916).

8/31:

Eastern Michigan at UMass: These future MAC opponents are meeting for the fourth consecutive year, with the Eagles having won the last three. Eastern Michigan leads the all-time series 3-2 (series started in 2014).

UConn at Maryland: The road team has won both prior matchups, so we will see if that trend continues. All-time series tied 1-1 (series started in 2012).

Holy Cross at Rhode Island: This will be the first meeting between these regional opponents since 1988. Crusaders lead the all-time series 9-1 (series started in 1918). .

Merrimack at Air Force: Great opportunity for the Warriors to be on national tv - well CBSSN. First-ever meeting

Delaware State at Sacred Heart: After a tough 2023, the Pioneers will need to get off on the right foot this year - and the Hornets are a great opponent for that. First-ever meeting.

West Virginia Wesleyan at Post: These teams have combined to win just two games the past two years. First-ever meeting.

9/2:

Boston College at Florida State: Doesn’t get much better than this for Bill O’Brien’s first game as coach of the Eagles - Labor Day, prime time, strong opponent - but it is in Tallahassee. Seminoles lead the all-time series 16-5 (series started in 1957)
